Instructions

    • 1

Fill bottom of double boiler with water and add chocolate chips to the top.

    • 2

Allow the water to barely simmer until chocolate is melted.

    • 3

Use a fork to dip each cream filled cookie into the chocolate. Be sure the cookie is completely covered before removing. Any open spaces will allow air to get in and make the cookie soggy.

    • 4

Place chocolate covered cookies on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper and immediately sprinkle with crushed peppermints.

    • 5

Place cookies in refrigerator until chocolate has set. Store in airtight container until ready to serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also use dark or milk chocolate, if you prefer.

  • Do not allow the water to boil or the chocolate may scorch.
