Things You'll Need:

  • Birthday cake (store bought or homemade)

  • Small gifts for each attendee
  1. Step 1

Purchase supplies. If you want to go all out, find Christmas-themed plates, cups, napkins, streamers and other decor. Be sure to purchase invitations.

  2. Step 2

Send out invitations to your children's friends.

  3. Step 3

Purchase or make a birthday cake and have the words "Happy Birthday, Jesus" written on top. Purchase ice cream and other snacks.

  4. Step 4

On party day, read the story of Christ's birth to the children as a part of the celebration, play party games as you normally would at a birthday party. Party games can be Christian-themed to represent the birthday you are celebrating.

Before eating the cake and ice cream, have the children sing the Birthday Song to Jesus. At gift-giving time, present each guest with a gift. Have fun and celebrate the birthday the Christmas represents.

  • Always be aware that all of your child's friend may not be Christians so speak with the parents before including the child on the guest list.
