Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • English muffins
  • Sliced cheese
  • Thinly sliced turkey, ham or pastrami
  1. Step 1

Toast the English muffins in a toaster or toaster oven.

  2. Step 2

Place the English muffin halves face up on a paper plate. The paper plate keeps them from getting soggy in the microwave.

  3. Step 3

Place one slice of your favorite cheese on each half of the English muffin.

  4. Step 4

Microwave the English muffins halves for approx 20 seconds on power 8.

  5. Step 5

Add your favorite thinly sliced lunch meat, such as turkey or pastrami, and put the two halves together to form a sandwich.

  6. Step 6

Eat and enjoy immediately, or wrap them in foil and take them with you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try using different kinds of cheeses, such as sliced havarti and cheddar.
  • Use a combination of meats, such as turkey and ham on one sandwich.
  • If wrapped in foil, these will stay fresh-tasting for up to 2 hours.
  • Shredded cheese works great too.
  • Try veggie meats if you don't eat lunch meats.
  • Don't use cheese that is sliced too thick, as it will not melt well in the microwave.
  • Make sure to use a paper plate, otherwise the moisture from the plate will cause the muffin to become soggy.
  • Don't put the meat in the microwave, add it only at the end after the cheese it melted.
