Oranges. These taste great, travel well and need no refrigeration. Less obvious is that they are a great source of folic acid, fiber and antioxidants. Fresh orange juice will serve the same purpose. Oranges are good by themselves or in all kinds of salads.

Dark Leafy Greens. Another antioxidant, greens contain vitamins, minerals and folic acid. Make a salad and put anything in it under the sun. Eat the greens raw or lightly cooked in sandwiches or stir-fry.

Bran Cereal or Other Wheat Bran. This aids your digestive system, prvents polyps and shows evidence of fighting breast cancer. You can mix this in with other cereal, make bran muffins, sprinkle on salads, mix into casseroles or make with a trail mix of raisins and nuts.

Yogurt. When it's low fat with live cultures, yogurt is a good source of calcium, supports good immune function, fights bacteria and may prevent yeast infections. Top vanilla yogurt with fruit and granola or use on baked potatoes in place of sour cream.

Green tea. There is mounting evidence that green tea fights cancer and boosts metabolism. You can drink it hot or cold and with or without caffeine. Most studies showing weith loss with green tea involved consuming it with meals.
