How to Collect Geocoins

1. Learn what geocoins are. The best way to find out about them and other trackable items is to visit Geocaching.com. They have a lot of information on geocaching.
2. Start to research about the different coins. State coins are pretty popular but there are many kinds. Find some that you think you'll like. For instance I like state coins and also the Compass Rose series. There are a list of coin dealers also at geocaching.com. Always buy from a reputable dealer because there are counterfeit coins out there. You also get the best price that way. Buy early as the best coins sell out fast then people want crazy prices for them. When you select a coin and activate it on line you get a neat little avatar on your stat page.
3. You can also find them in caches. Buy to keep,trade or send traveling in a cache. Trading is a big deal. I personally keep all mine but then I'm a little obsessed with them. They are pretty and shiny.
