When you move to draw on a new frame in Flip Boom, the program automatically inserts a blank frame following the current one--but sometimes you need to go back and add a frame.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A working installation of Toon Boom's Flip Boom.

Step1
With a project open in Flip Boom, select the frame after the place where you want to add a new frame. The frame must have something drawn on it, or Flip Boom won't let you add another.
Step2
Look just underneath your drawing area. You'll see three buttons: a green plus sign, a red minus sign, and two overlapping green plus signs.
Step3
The single green plus sign is the "Insert Blank Frame" button. Click that button.
Step4
A new blank frame should appear before the selected frame. Flip Boom will automatically move you to that frame.
Step5
Click the button as many times as you want to add as many blank frames in between as you wish. This can be useful when using onion-skinning for in-betweening.
Step6
To remove any of the blank frames you've added, select it and click the red minus button (the "Remove Frame" button). Flip Boom will delete the selected frame.
