When you are starting a business, one of the most important things you need to do is to get to know your audience, while letting them get to know you also. Posting in forums and sending emails are only a couple of the ways to get noticed. Now there are so many websites that have entered the social networking scene. The purpose of these websites is to get your name out there, whether you are in business or you just want to personally socialize.

    Get your own space, MySpace.com, that is. The website that has been most talked about, in the news and on the internet, is one of the most popular ones. You can sign up for a free profile and invite your friends to get their own piece of the social networking scene, too. The owner and founder of the website, Tom Anderson will even be your very first friend when you sign up.

  2. Step 2

    Play tag or get tagged on the social networking website, Tagged.com. Friends and family can keep in contact through their own pages and can personalize them to suit their personality. This is an ideal website for showing your personality to the world while making new friends and business contacts.

  3. Step 3

    Join the Xanga social networking scene, a community of online journals and diaries. You can start an online journal and share your feelings and personal thoughts with family and friends. They have an added feature now that is called Weblog Pooling, and it's an excellent way to share specific posts with all in your blogring. Check it out and starting blogging.

    Place free ads on the community pages of Adlandpro.com. There are classifieds that are no cost to place any type of advertisement that you want.
