How to Delete or Hide Guides in Adobe Photoshop

Everyone loves using guides to design a Photoshop document. Sometimes the guides outstay their welcome, however, and you want to turn them off. Here are two ways you could hide or delete guides.

Things You’ll Need:

• Adobe Photoshop
• An Open Photoshop Document (such as a photo)

How to Delete or Hide Guides in Adobe Photoshop

1. Do you want to make all of your guides vanish? Go to View/Show and toggle the "Guides" choice. This will hide all of your guides.
2. Do you want to delete all of your guides entirely? Go to View/Clear Guides, and all of your guides will be deleted.
3. Do you want to delete only one or two guides? Select the Move Tool (black arrow) and drag one of your guides "off" the screen. The guide will be gone!
4. Did you change your mind about deleting guides? You can easily make new ones, or if you chose the View/how option, you could just toggle the guides back on.

Tips & Warnings

• Guides do not print - they just help you arrange images.
• You cannot rotate guides the way you can in Adobe Illustrator.
