For gay men, the bath house is a place to congregate and relax. And of course it's also the spot to have sex. But just because it might seem like some kind of unbridled pleasure palace doesn't mean there aren't unspoken rules of etiquette. Learn how to behave appropriately in a bath house so that you and other patrons can have the most enjoyable time possible.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A bath house
  • A towel
  • Condoms
  • Respect for others

Step1
Upon entering the bath house, you will likely be issued a towel. Be sure to wear this throughout the complex. It is considered rude to walk around public areas fully nude.
Step2
You will likely encounter the locker room soon after entering the facility. Use a locker to store your belongings. Never fool around with men in the locker room. The locker area is for changing only.
Step3
While in public areas such as hallways and lounges, do not engage in sexual acts. Most bath houses will ask you to leave if you do.
Step4
When exploring the facility, do not open the door to a private room unless it is yours. Doing so is considered extremely invasive.
Step5
If you see someone that you find attractive, do not just reach out and grope them. Approach them. If they signal either through gesture or speech that they are interested, proceed. Otherwise walk away.
Step6
In semi-public areas that do allow sex, do not intrude on couples or groups that are engaging in sex unless invited.
Step7
When engaging in sex, always use protection. Never try to coax or force anyone to engage in a sexual act without the use of protection.
Step8
Be sure to utilize the showers regularly, especially after sexual contact.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always use protection when engaging in sexual acts.
