How to Change Text Color in Adobe Photoshop

Liven up any image by changing the text color. Adding text to an image is easy with Adobe Photoshop. Changing the color of text is easy too, but the process for doing this is a little less obvious.

Instructions

1. Click on the text tool from the left-hand vertical toolbar. The text tool looks like a big "T."

2. Type your text.

3. Double-click the thumbnail of the layer you just typed the text on. This selects your text.

4. Go to the control bar at the top of your screen.

5. Double-click on the rectangle that has the same color as your text. The rectangle is in the center of your control bar, next to the justify buttons.

6. Choose a color once the color picker pops up. This will change you text color.

• If you pause your cursor over the buttons, a name will pop up to help you choose the correct tools and settings.
