How to Get Oichi's Fifth Weapon (the Sakura) in Samurai Warriors

Oichi Oichi

Rate: (2 Ratings)

Oichi's 5th weapon can be a challenge to obtain especially if, as in my case, Oichi is your worst character. Her weapon is a fairly good weapon though, and will give some much needed attack and musou charge boosts to her pitiful offense. The Sakura has the following stats: Base Attack: +44 Element: Lightning Attack: +44 Defense: +39 Ranged Defense: +39 Musou Charge: +40 To get the Sakura, you'll have to play Oichi's Battle of Anegawa stage and complete the missions given to you without losing any allied generals.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Oichi's story mode cleared

Step1
If playing on the Samurai Warriors:Xtreme Legends expansion, import data from the original Samurai Warriors if you haven't done so already. SKIP THIS STEP if you are not playing Xtreme Legends.

For help on importing data, see:

Step2
Set the difficulty to "Hard" or "Chaos", or if you are playing on Samurai Warriors:Xtreme Legends and have purchased the special bonus available from the options menu that allows you to obtain 5th weapons on Normal difficulty, you may set it to Normal instead.

Step3
Begin Free Mode or Story Mode and play as Oichi. Play the Battle of Anegawa stage on Oichi's Tale.
Step4
Include a Tengu Sandals in your item equipment, since you'll want to be able to get to your generals quickly if they require assistance. Another good item to equip is the Battle Drum, which will boost your allies' morale and help them survive.

To get the Battle Drum, see:

http://www.ehow.com/how_2109783_battle-drum-samurai-warriors.html
Step5
Begin the stage, and head to your right (west on the map). Cross the small bridge to enter the area near Ieyasu Tokugawa and his army. The first mission will direct you toward this area, and you'll have to stop Ieyasu.
Step6
Move to fight Ieyasu Tokugawa and eliminate him; if you meet either Kazumasa Ishikawa or Tadatsugu Sakai along the way, eliminate them, but don't try to kill both or Ieyasu Tokugawa may get too far and you'll fail the mission.
Step7
Once Ieyasu is defeated, seal the enemy stronghold in the west and head back east toward the large bridge in the center of the map. Defeat any remaining generals in the northwest along the way.
Step8
Once you reach the bridge, defeat Mitsuhide Akechi and Keiji Maeda. Try to avoid fighting them both at once; Mitsuhide is quick and Keiji is a hard-hitter, so they make a very dangerous team.
Step9
Check that all allied generals are still alive (there should be 10, counting Nagamasa Azai and Oichi) and move toward the southeast area. Eliminate Hideyoshi Hashiba and seal the stronghold behind him along the way. You can't enter Noh's area from the side though, since the gate will be closed, so go around to the front entrance.
Step10
Once Noh appears, defeat her and seal the stronghold nearby. Once this is done, head back towards the Azai main camp, even though there aren't any enemies around.
Step11
Oda reinforcements will appear eventually. Defeat all three officers who show up.
Step12
If all of your generals are sitll alive at this point, the supply team will appear in the southwest corner of the map. They'll travel the path leading north; cut them off and collet the weapon.
Step13
Defeat Yoshinari Mori to open the Oda main camp gates, and eliminate Nobunaga Oda to end the stage. The Sakura is yours!

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're having trouble defeating enemy officers fast enough to save your generals, you could try playing on the second player controller as a better character and clearing the missions that way (Oichi does not have to personally clear the missions). Or, if you have a friend with you, just play a standard co-op stage instead.
  • ALL ally generals have to survive until the supply team shows up. If any allied officer is defeated, you'll have to start over.
