How to Make a Sandpaper Gingerbread Man

This is a simple ornament that is easy for children to make.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• sandpaper
• ginger bread man shaped cookie cutter
• glue
• thread/yarn
• paint/markers
• scissors

1. Using the cookie cutter, trace the ginger bread man twice.

2. Cut out those two piece, and glue them together with the sandpaper side facing out.

3. You can add a piece of thread between the two pieces when you are gluing them together. Or, you can wait until after the pieces have bonded and punch a hole at the top of the ornament to run a thread through.

4. Using the paint or markers, give the gingerbread man a face and buttons. Once the ginger bread man is dressed to taste hang on your tree or wall.

Tips & Warnings

• You can glue other pieces onto the ornament instead of drawing or painting on it.
• Scrape cinnamon across the sandpaper to make the ornament double as an air freshener.
