How to Pass a Driver's Test

People at a young age are excited about getting their license. This in turn gives the person freedom to go anyplace they desire to go. Rules and regulations in taking the driving test acquires two hands to drive. To be safe in all areas, a person must abide by the rules or they can be wavered because of limitations

  1. Step 1

    Once the written test is taken, go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and sign in

  2. Step 2

    Wait for your name to be call to begin the process of taking the test. You may have to fill out a few forms before beginning. This is to ensure the correct information to be put into the system and if you will donate anything to science in case of an accident

  3. Step 3

    To begin, open the driver’s side door with the right or left hand

  4. Step 4

    Once inside the car by stepping in with your right foot, slightly bending at the waist to put in left hip first to be seated

  5. Step 5

    To get a better balance, grasp the steering wheel with your right hand to enable you to bring your left leg inside the car. Using your right or left arm reach to pull the driver’s side door close

  6. Step 6

    With your right arm, take the seat belt and pull it across the waist to secure it in the buckle until you hear a click. Position the mirror with your right hand in order to see where you are going. This will help you keep safe for yourself and other drivers

  7. Step 7

    Using your right hand, turn the ignition toward the window shield. You have started your car

  8. Step 8

    Most of the functions in working with the inside of the car will take using the right hand. So with your right hand put the car in “D”. This is meant for driving position. Any other position will cause the car to either go in another direction or not move at all

  9. Step 9

    To make the car go, press your right foot on the gas pedal. While your right hand is in the position of 12:00 o’clock, move forward gently

  10. Step 10

    If having to make any turns, leaving your hand in the 12:00 o’clock position, turn steering wheel to the right or counter clockwise. Your fingers should be over the steering wheel wrapping around in a close position while the thumb is right underneath the wheel for a better grip as you make your turns
