Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Go to the dollar store. This is a great store to get gifts, decorations or invitations. The dollar store is also great if you need cheap food supplies or you want to put together a welcome basket or baby basket. You can get very creative shopping here. And not spend a fortune.
Step2
Go to your local discount department store, like Walmart or Zellers. These stores are really cheap and often have sales. Around Christmas a lot of toys are 50% off. Or clothing is really cheap. Either way you can get a great gift for under $20.00. This is a great place to shop if you are on a budget.
Step3
Go to a flea market. Last year when I was tight for money, this is where I did all my Christmas shopping and maybe spent $100 on everyone. You can get baby outfits for $10.00, blankets for $25. This is a great place to go and haggle prices. Plus flea markets have a wide range of gifts, so you can really think outside the box with your gift ideas.
Step4
Remember there are cheap options out there. Also keep in mind that it's the thought that counts, not the actual gift. And if you are crafty, make a home-made gift. My younger sister is a master at plastic canvasing, she makes great birthday and Christmas gifts this way and for a cheap price.
