How to Make Basil Tomato Sauce

Things You'll Need:

  • Can of crushed tomatoes
  • Can of tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • String
  • Fresh basil plant
  1. Step 1

    Boil the crushed tomatoes and add salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Step 2

    Add the can of tomato paste and stir. The tomato sauce will become thick.

  3. Step 3

    Cut basil leaves off of your basil plant using scissors. Keep the stems intact.

  4. Step 4

    Wash the stems and leaves. Tie the stems together with string.

  5. Step 5

    Add the basil to your tomato sauce. Cook and stir until the leaves are
    wilted. Remove the basil and serve your sauce.
