Magic Cookie Bars used to be included in ads for Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk. This version has the same ingredients as many others, though some insert them in different orders. The final result should be 2 dozen multi-layered cookie topped with chocolate chips. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 cups coconut
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 13 by 9 1/2 baking pan
  • 1 gallon plastic zip bag
  • Rolling pin
  • No-stick cooking spray

Instructions

      Spray the pan with the no-stick cooking spray, then place the butter in the pan. Place the pan in the oven and turn the heat up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

      Place about 10 graham crackers in a large plastic bag. Use a rolling pin to completely crumble the crackers.

      Remove the pan from the oven when the butter melts. Spread the cracker crumbs across the melted butter.

      Sprinkle the chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, and coconut across the pan.

      Pour the condensed milk evenly across the mix.

      Bake the dough for about 25 minutes or until the coconut starts to turn brown. Let it cool before cutting it into pieces.

  • The cookies must be cool before you cut them. If they are hot, they will be gooey and hard to handle.
