Valentine’s candy hearts are a romantic way to propose on Valentine’s Day. The small candy hearts already say romantic phrases. Customizing the candy hearts to fit the marriage proposal is easy and romantic.

From Quick Guide: Ways to Propose
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    Preparation

  1. Step 1

Search online for a candy company that sells candy hearts.

  2. Step 2

Click on the box that allows you to order customized candy hearts.

  3. Step 3

Write one of the following words: “Will You Marry Me?” on four separate candy hearts.

  4. Step 4

Have the candy hearts shipped to your office, where you are sure your loved on will not see them arrive.

  5. Step 5

Shop for the best engagement ring.

  6. Step 6

Buy an engagement ring before the big day. Check with your jewelry store on how they handle sizing the ring.

  7. Proposing With the Valentine’s Candy Hearts

  8. Step 1

Plan a romantic evening with your sweetheart. Aim for a night when you have no other obligations or plans.

  9. Step 2

Prepare the marriage proposal candy by laying them in a candy dish. Lay the special message candies on top where you can easily find them.

  10. Step 3

During the romantic evening mention you would like some candy to munch on. Have some of your proposal candy handy.

  11. Step 4

Open up the candy hearts and start to share them with your sweetheart.

  12. Step 5

Pretend to start randomly reading the messages on the candy hearts.

  13. Step 6

Hand the first candy heart to him or her that says. “Will.” Ask her to read what it says.

  14. Step 7

Next hand her the heart that says, “You.” She may be catching on at this point, so act nonchalant.

  15. Step 8

Continue this process until the whole question of “Will You Marry Me?” is asked.

  16. Step 9

Bend down on one knee in front of her or him.

  17. Step 10

Open the ring box and present it to your sweet heart.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try using other phrases in place of “Will You Marry Me?” to create a custom proposal. A fun idea would be “Will You Be Mine for Life?” Another idea would be “Be Mine Forever?”
  • Have a “Yes” and a “No” candy present as well. Hold both out and see which one is chosen!
  • Try putting the message bearing candies on a single cupcake. This will keep them more handy since the icing can hold them in place. Hand the cupcake to your sweetheart for a romantic wedding proposal. You can also pull this off in a restaurant by having the waiter bring out the candy decorated dessert for you.
