  8. Step 8

Pop the chocolate lollipops out of the candy mold once they have cooled for about one hour or become hard.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add sprinkles into the bottoms of the candy molds before you add the stick or the chocolate.
  • Try using white chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate to make different tasting chocolate lolliops.
  • To add peanut butter to the center you can pour some chocolate into the mold to coat the bottom. Let this cool completely before adding the peanut butter. Then fill in the rest of the chocolate candy mold with chocolate.
  • You can melt chocolate in the microwave if necessary.
  • Use a rubber spatula so you can scrape the sides of the pot.
  • Wrap your chocolate lollipops with clear candy bags and tie them shut with ribbons.
  • Continually stir the chocolate as it melts. You do not want it to stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • When melting chocolate in the microwave do it in shorts bursts. If you heat the chocolate too long it will seize up and become rock hard.
  • Always use candy molds that have a slot for the lollipop stick to rest. If you use candy molds not meant to hold lollipop sticks the stick will poke out crookedly from the back.
