Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Car
  • Driver's license
  • Insurance
  • Seatbelt
  1. Step 1

Know that flashing, animated, brightly-lit advertisements define Times Square. But if you're driving through it the first rule to remember is not to get distracted. Keep your eyes on the road.

  2. Step 2

Be aware that the Department of Transportation says over 13,000 pedestrians an hour crowd the sidewalks of Times Square. Many of them flow out into the streets. Keep an eye out for distracted people who may walk into the streets.

  3. Step 3

Keep in mind an estimated 300,000 vehicles pass through Times Square each day. That means you'll have plenty of company on the road. Many of those cars are cabs, known for quick lane changes. Beware of cabs that cut you off or stop abruptly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear your seatbelt.
