Things You'll Need:
- 3 cups freestone peaches
- ½ cup sugar
- butter
- ½ cup water
- 2 ½ cup cracker crumbs
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Step 1
Smear butter around the inside of a baking dish, then sprinkle a layer of cracker crumbs over that.

Spoon in a layer of peaches.

Mix salt, sugar and nutmeg together, then shake this over the peaches.

Add pats of butter here and there over the mixture.

Step 5
Repeat these steps until all of the ingredients have been used. Cover with a final layer of bread crumbs and add more pats of butter.

Cover with foil and refrigerate.

Step 7
When throughly cooled, remove from refrigerator, pour water over the contents and bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
