Things You'll Need:
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 cups milk

Step 1
Beat eggs, then add sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and salt.

Boil milk. Add milk to the mixture slowly, all the while continuing to stir.

Pour mixture into pie shell.

Step 4
Bake 45 minutes at 325 degrees. If the custard seems to still be liquid or wiggles when the pan is shaken, it isn't ready.
