Winter is the perfect time to make chili. It can be a very easy, tasty and affordable dish to make for a big group. It also makes great leftovers.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 ½ pounds of ground beef
  • 1 envelope of Beefy Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 15 oz. can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 ½ cups of water
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 4 tsp. chili powder
  1. Step 1

    Brown the beef in a skillet over medium heat. Once the pink is gone, drain.

  2. Step 2

    Stir beef and remaining ingredients into a large pot. Bring to a boil.

  3. Step 3

    Reduce heat, cover and allow chili to simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  4. Step 4

    Serve and eat.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add additional items like chopped onion or corn.
  • Serve chili with sour cream and crackers.
