- ½ yard of velvet fabric
- 1 yard of ribbon
- Sewing needle
- Matching spool of thread

Step 2
Pin the pieces together, with the velvet sides facing the inside. Leave the top of the stocking open.
-
Step 3
Using your needle and thread, sew along the outside edge of the stocking. Remove pins.
-
Step 4
Stitch the short sides together for the cuff. Then slip the cuff over the stocking boot. Sew the top edge of the cuff and the stocking together.
-
Step 5
Turn the stocking right side out. Stitch around the final edge of the cuff. Fold the cuff down and make sure the seams are hidden.
-
Step 6
Use any embellishment to decorate the cuff.Decorate the cuff. Pin decorative ribbon into position along the bottom seam of the cuff. Stitch it into place.
-
Step 7
Use a five inch long piece of ribbon to sew a loop so the stocking can be easily hung. Simply fold the ribbon in half and sew it in place inside the stocking on the top of the heel side.
