Cleaning the grout of any surface is never easy. It takes, strength and sweat. To make this task easier, try using an abrasive that will cut through the nasty discoloration from constant use of everyday life.
Bathroom Countertop with Dirty Tile Grout
To clean your bathroom countertop, first you need a counter. Some bathrooms do not have a counter top, just a basin.
Step2
Abrasive Cleaning Product Found on Infomercials
When you see your bathroom counter tops tile grout is yellow or orange looking, it is time to find a cleaning abrasive that works best for you. Usually, a name brand or infomercial abrasive brand works the best. You will also need a toothbrush (4 pack at your local dollar store), cloth or rag and basin water to clean up the counter top.
Step3
Cleaning Abrasive Spread on Dirty Grout
Open the tub of cleaning abrasive, with scoop, spread the abrasive over the yellow or orange area(s). If you want, you can mix the abrasive into a paste.
Step4
Rubbing Cleaning Abrasive into Dirty Grout
Now, place the toothbrush under running water and begin scrubbing the abrasive mixture into dirty grout. Continue doing this until the grout looks the color, white, you want to see. If your home is over 30 years old, it may take some time to get the grout to the original color it once was.
Step5
Clean and Shining Bathroom Countertop
Finally, when you see the grout is becoming cleaner that it once was, take a clean clothe and put it under running water (just a little bit), then remove the remaining cleaning abrasive to see your now clean and shining bathroom countertop.
Tips & Warnings
Always clean away from children, especially babies.
If babies are within bathroom reach, clean counter top during their nap or when they are down for the evening.
