While centerpieces give tabletops and surfaces a glamorous feel, these ornate creations can run high in price and preparation time. Instead of splurging on floral arrangements that break the bank and only last a few days, try making a unique, easy-on-the-wallet alternative.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Large, clear vase with wide top
  • Potpourri
  • Apples (any color)
  • Food coloring
  • Fragrant tea light

Step1
Fill a large, clear vase with water until half full.
Step2
Add food coloring to desired shade.
Step3
Place 5 apples in the vase, one at a time.
Step4
Sprinkle a handful of potpourri in the vase so it floats.
Step5
Add a fragrant tea candle.
Step6
Repeat with new vases as needed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Experiment with other fruit for a more colorful theme.
  • Always place the centerpiece in its final location before lighting the tea candle to avoid injury
