With all of the wonderful advances in technology, there are numerous device available to make your life easier. Having a laptop while on the go can be convenient, but sometimes smaller devices are more portable. Using a smartphone as a laptop replacement is not an impossible task. With a few suggestions and applications, you will be able to have an ultra portable device to keep you constantly connected.

  1. Step 1

    Purchase a smartphone with a QWERTY design. This will allow you to type easily while on the go. There are many smartphone devices that offer spacious keyboards to type emails or reports. While traveling to multiple destinations, you will be able to quickly type important messages or documents without missing a laptop.

  2. Step 2

    Add mobile applications that will allow you to work on the go. Mobile applications such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook will let you remain productive even when you are not near a computer. You will not have to depend on a laptop or desktop computer to get work done. Usually these mobile applications are inexpensive and user friendly.

    Save important documents and information on an online storage system. Services provided by Xdrive and iBackup are convenient ways to have access to work documents while on the go. Instead of waiting until you get back to the office to share work documents or display presentations, you can have an always on connection.
