This is a simple, quick meal that makes me remember Germany every time we eat this at our house. From the first bowl you will taste the wonderful flavors of Germany. Read on to learn how to make a German goulash stew.
Put olive oil in the bottom of a large pot. Brown beef sirloin pieces and chopped onions until the beef is done and onions are clear.
Step2
Add chopped garlic, Hungarian paprika, tomato paste and water.
Step3
As it is coming to a boil, start to add marjoram, caraway seeds and sugar.
Step4
Add the salt and paper to your taste. Cook approximately 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
Tips & Warnings
A great side to the German Goulash stew is spaetzle, which can be purchased in a box or made from scratch. Either way, the spaetzle adds to the European flair.
