You've bought your great flat screen television now you want a kick'in home theater system. Here are a few simple steps to making a good purchase.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Make certain you know which level of sound you would like, 5.1 or 7.1.
Step2
With 5.1 you get five speakers, including a subwoofer and four satellite speakers.
Step3
With a 7.1 system you get seven speakers total including five satellite speakers, a subwoofer, and a center channel speaker.
Step4
The over all wattage rating should tell you how loud the system goes, and sometimes less is more. Use your judgment to decide how much power you need, or don't need.
