How to Save a Life by Being a Donor

If you want to get into the "life-saving" business, become a blood donor. It's easy and painless. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
I've been a blood donor over 25 years, and if my efforts can save the life of a child, man or woman, my life here on earth will have some meaning--at least, for me. Yeah, I know, donating blood has taken hits lately by some nefarious doctors, trying to make a quick buck, but it rarely happens.
Step2
In many states, a little pinkish-red dot is affixed to your drivers license if you have consented to be a donor, but you need to have a card on file, too. Here is a list of some of the organs you can donate to help others:
Lungs, liver, pancreas, eyes and corneas, heart, kidney, small intestine, bone and bone marrow, skin, veins, cartilage and tendons.
Step3
Think about it! You might save the lives of eight people and enhance 50 other lives just by becoming a organ donor.
