Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
First, you must trust in yourself. If you know that you try to be honest, don't let others down, and like to see others happy as well as be happy yourself, then it is reasonable for you to expect the same of others. On the other hand, if you intentionally mislead people, break promises, and seek to not follow the Golden Rule, it is reasonable to expect others to doubt you thus creating room for doubt within yourself. By you continuously doing the right thing, there is no room for failure which can lead to mistrust in oneself.
Step2
You cannot look for reasons to mistrust yourself. There is an old saying that goes if you look for something long enough, you will find it. I would put a spin on that to say that you may find a semblance of it. I am a firm believer that the Creator will do what He is supposed to do. God will show you.
Step3
Do not allow others' perceptions to sway your trust in yourself. If you ask advice from someone regarding you, they will try to give it to you. They may also then begin to feel that they have become the resident expert on you while possibly failing miserably at their own attempts of increasing their self-esteem. If there is a perplexing issue, you must talk with God first. He will then lead you to your answer.
