How to Drink Milo

Several foods are the staples of every Australian child's life. Vegemite is perhaps the most famous but what is a snack with a drink to accompany it?

Originally manufactured in Sydney around 1934 by the Nestle company, Milo is a milk drink and food additive which now spans the globe. A chocolate flavored additive with a granular paste, it has now expanded beyond milk drinks to include breakfast cereals, food bars and nutritional supplements. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A glass of milk
  • A spoon
  • A jar of Milo
  1. Step 1

    Pour the milk into the glass, leaving plenty of room near the top for overflow.

  2. Step 2

    Take two heaped spoons of Milo and add to the milk.

  3. Step 3

    Stir.

  4. Step 4

    The Milo will form a crunchy paste on the surface of the drink which can be consumed with the spoon.

  5. Step 5

    Drink up and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Milo can be made on warm milk or as a substitute for hot cocoa in cold weather.
