The holidays are a time of giving. While everyone is excited to give sometimes it is difficult to find a thoughtful gift to everyone on your list. It seems that our list continue to get larger and larger each and every year. You want to make the gift receiver feel special and loved. It is important that gifts are not just gifts. Gifts should be something that are well thought out and they should show the person receiving them that you care. Read on to learn more.

From Quick Guide: Stress-Proof Your Holiday
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Each gift you give should represent your relationship with the person you are giving the gift to. For instance, if you are giving a gift to someone that you share meaningful conversations with, you might want that represented in your gift exchange. Show the person that you listen to them while they are talking.

  2. Step 2

Adding a personal touch to your gift is important. Even if it is just a homemade bow at the top of the package, this shows the person that you care. You may want to jot down why you choose this gift in the card that you give to this person. Let them know that they mean something to you.

  3. Step 3

Pictures are always meaningful gifts. Giving someone a picture takes a lot of effort. The gift receiver knows this. Not only did you have to take and find the picture, but you had to choose it and have it developed in one way or another. People appreciate gift such as these. They are more personal than a gift that you obviously just picked up at a store.

  4. Step 4

Personally, I enjoy giving and receiving things with quotes on them. Choose a personal quote that you feel represents your relationship with this person. Let them know how much they mean to you in words. Written words touch the heart in a way that is hard to describe. This will leave the person feeling warm and appreciated.

Tips & Warnings
  • Share with the person how much you care for them.
