How to Tie a Tucked Double Overhand Loop
The 1970s gave us some really cool things. Bell bottoms, the bet rock and macramé. Macramé is the art of using knots to create things such as plant holders, potholders and even woven paintings. One of the staple knots in the art of macramé is the Tucked Double Overhand Loop Knot. Here is how to tie it.
Instructions

1
Grab your rope and pull one end of it against itself so that you form a loop.
-
2
Take the loop you just formed and make an overhand loop back through (as if you were re-tying a knot, but instead you are using the loops).
-
-
3
Wrap the loop you just made "over again" and pull it through. (hence the double loop).
-
4
Tighten the knot and complete the Tucked Double Overhand Loop. You can also adjust the size of the loop by gently sliding the knot while tightening.

Tips & Warnings
This is also a popular knot for attaching fishing lures to lines.
If you are using this knot for fishing, you may want to moisten the line with water or saliva before pulling it tight. It helps completing the nimble nature of this knot when you tie it.
This is also a popular knot for camping. If you are involved in Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, you can impress your friends and leaders by mastering a series of knots.
