How to Buy a Disc Golf Putter
Although disc golf can be played with only one disc, most disc golfers choose specialized discs and have at least one driver, a medium-range disc and a putter for close-to-the-goal shots. Putters are especially designed for accuracy when you get within 100 feet of the goal. Because most putters can be purchased for about $10, they are worth considering if you plan to be a serious disc golfer.

See what the distance rating of the disc is. Most putters are rated according to how far they are meant to travel accurately. Look on the product packaging for either a distance or a 1 to 10 rating scale.

Notice the edge of the disc. Disc golf putters come with different types of edges from flat to somewhat sharp. The flatter the edge, the less distance the putter will travel, but the more accurate you'll be able to throw it.
