Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn a little of the history behind disc golf. Read up about the game and the equipment either online or in books.

  2. Step 2

Acquaint yourself with the major terms in disc golf such as tee pad, the basket, lie, par, drive, putt and approach. Know that disc golf is played in a natural environment or around buildings forcing players to use trees and other natural structures as boundaries.

  3. Step 3

Understand that disc golf has no limit on how many discs a player can hold unlike golf where one can only hold 14 clubs. Comprehend that disc golf is very much like ball golf, but there are simply different kinds of discs as opposed to clubs.

  4. Step 4

Visit the Professional Disc Golf Association website to get detailed information on disc golf rules and regulations. Pay special attention to the order of play, etiquette, and principles of disc throwing.

  5. Step 5

Play a game of Disc golf to best learn how the game is played. Involve yourself with the terminology and rules of play by using your newfound knowledge in real life; this method will be the best way to get a feel for how disc golf is played.
