When you take on the job of painting your home, inside or out, the job can be made easier if you have the right kind of equipment. A paint sprayer can make the job go faster. There are different types to choose from.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know that the most economical paint sprayer is an electric sprayer with a bowl attached to the bottom. This is where the paint is stored when spraying. When you pull the trigger on this type of paint sprayer, it turns on a motor which pumps the paint out of the end of the sprayer's orifice.

  2. Step 2

Consider another type of electric paint sprayer that you can buy. This type has the pump separate from the sprayer. This sprayer has a fluid line attached to the pump and the sprayer. These lines can be anywhere from 20 to 50 feet long. This particular type of pump has a handle on it. It's a small pump and easy to move around.

  3. Step 3

Buy a paint sprayer in a commercial type for large jobs at home or if you plan to start a painting business. This one comes with an electric pump. The pump is usually on two wheels. This kind of paint sprayer will accommodate a 5-gallon bucket of paint easily. This type of paint sprayer forces large amounts of paint out of the sprayer quickly. You can use this type sprayer with up to 100 feet of hose.

  4. Step 4

Look at the gas-operated type of paint sprayer as another option to buy. These are excellent on jobs where you might not have access to electricity. They are positioned on a frame with wheels so that they can be easily moved from one spot to another.
