How to Knit Moss Stitch Panels
Moss Stitch Panels create a nice pattern and is not difficult to work up. This is a great project to start with a friend or child. Knitting is a wonderful way to relax and keep a tradition alive or start a new one!

Cast on the number of stitches that you desire. This panel is worked in a set of 15 stitches with a pattern of 8 stitches plus 7 stitches. At the end of each row, turn and start next row.

Knit the first row as follows: knit 3, then knit a repeating pattern of purl 1, knit 3 for the rest of the row.

Knit row 2 as follows: purl 3, then knit a repeating pattern of knit 1, purl 3 for the rest of this row.

Knit row 3 by knitting 2, purl 1, knit 1; then knit the rest of the row in a repeating pattern of purl 1, knit 2 twice, purl 1, knit 1. When you are down to the last 3 stitches, purl 1, knit 2.

Knit row 4 by knitting purl 2, knit 1, purl 1, then a repeating pattern of (knit 1, purl 2) twice, knit 1, purl 1. When you are down to the last 3 stitches, knit 1, purl 2.

Knit row 5 as knit 1, then a repeating pattern of purl 1, knit 1 all the way through this row.

Knit row 6 as purl 1, then a repeating pattern of knit 1, purl 1 through to the end.

Repeat the following rows: Knit row 7 by repeating row 3; knit row 8 as you did row 4; knit row 9 the same as the first row; and knit row 10 as a repeat of row 2. Repeat these 10 rows to form a Moss Stitch Panel.
