Use what the pros at the hospital use to keep a bow on a new born baby's head. They use a touch of gel, let it dry some and then very carefully place a small soft cloth bow onto the gel to let it set. This will just wipe away with a damp cloth when you are ready to remove it. For the same trick at home, use a little dot of a sticky corn syrup.

Realize that If your baby is a preemie or very tiny, they will probably be wearing a little cloth or knit cap to keep their head warm. You can sew a soft cloth bow to the front edge of the cap so everyone can see it. Do not pin, clip or staple the bow to the cap, as it is of utmost importance that anything that may touch the head of your baby is very soft.

Place a soft cloth covered elastic headband with a cloth bow sewn to it on an infant or toddler, depending upon their size and age. If the baby is more of a toddler, try using a headband that is a little wider and larger with a bow attached. For some toddlers it's ok to use a headband that comes with bows that clip on so that you can change the bow to match their outfit.

Sew a soft cloth or ribbon bow onto your baby's clothing or outfit. Some babies just do not like anything on their heads, so we have to be a little cleverer when it comes to getting that bow on the baby somewhere.
