How to Use a Touch Screen iPod
Once again, Apple has revolutionized the interface of portable music devices. The new iPod uses a touchscreen to allow users to intuitively and quickly access any of the device's functions and applications without ever pushing a physical button. Follow these steps to use the iPod's ingenious new touchscreen.

Turn the iPod on and off. To turn the iPod on simply press the sleep-wake button on the top, left hand corner of the device. Hold the button until you see the Apple logo appear on your screen. To turn the iPod off, hold the same button until a red slider appears on the screen. Drag the red slider and the iPod powers down.

Tap to open an application. To open any application on the iPod Touch, simply tap the corresponding icon. If you want to go back to the main or previous men simply press the single physical button at the bottom of the iPod.

Scroll around. You can scroll around any page by simply placing your finger on the screen and sliding it in the direction that you want the page to scroll in.

Zoom photos. When viewing photos, pinch the photo and then separate your fingers to zoom in. Do the opposite to zoom out. Alternatively, you can double tap to zoom in and then double tap again to zoom out.

Play music. Playing music on the iPod Touch is very simple. Just click the music icon on the main menu. Tap the submenu (such as "Artist," "Album" or "Genre") from which you want to choose your song. When you find the song you want simply tap it to start playing. Use the onscreen controls to pause, skip to the next or previous track or move to a different part of the track.
