Step 1
Select a date. Keep in mind gasoline price fluctuations throughout the year and pick a date when gas prices might be lower. You might also want to consider revolving your RV rally around a big summer festival or some other community event.
-
Step 2
Ask the RV Safety & Education Foundation to make an appearance. They provide RV safety tips and RV weighing for attendants of their seminars and are often represented at larger RV rallies.
-
Step 3
Set an admission price based on the activities. At an RV rally you can have any number of craft activities for the kids, musical or other forms of entertainment or trips to local attractions. Base your price for attendance on the number of expected attendees and the number of activities.
-
Step 4
Consider enlisting the destination's travel bureau for help in planning your RV rally. Most travel bureaus are happy to assist you in making travel plans for a large group, considering they stand to benefit from the tourism dollars.
-
Step 5
Get the word out as you organize your rally. Going to your local RV dealer is a great place to start your publicity campaign. You might also want to include their sales and service department in on the festivities. Be sure to advertise your rally in an RV magazine for larger events.
