How to Workout Barefoot
Everyone knows that certain exercises require good supportive sneakers to improve your balance and prevent injury. However, there are workout routines that should be performed while barefoot. Working out barefoot permits you to perform exercises that would be impossible to do with sneakers.

Take off both your socks and shoes. Your feet should be completely bare before you start your workout. Socks can often cause you to slide if you are using a mat.

Exercise barefoot at home. Gyms often have rules about exercising barefoot and may not permit it except during certain classes.

Perform your yoga moves barefoot. Yoga positions are must easier to attain when you have gone barefoot. Shoes prevent you from flexing your muscles properly.

Do a Pilates workout. Pilates is another workout that teaches the exerciser to enter different positions. These positions are often only achievable by exercising barefoot.

Use a stability ball during your barefoot workout. When exercising barefoot, you are able to get a better grip on a stability ball. This is especially helpful for moving the stability ball over your head.

Wipe off your mat and feet. To keep the workout area clean, use a disinfectant wipe on any exercise materials that may have come in contact with your feet.

Tips & Warnings
When running or walking, you should wear sneakers. The soles and heels of your feet will be better supported. Most contact supports are also going to require that you wear sneakers.
Barefoot exercises can strengthen the muscles found in your legs and calves. This is especially true when performing lifts with your tiptoes.
