2. Read the submission rules and guidelines for the website directory before writing your submission. Every website directory out there has different rules, and you need to make sure that you are writing a submission that will be accepted.

3. Choose the category that you would like to add your website to carefully. You should choose the category that makes the most sense while getting you the most visitors.

4. Write your title and link text following the rules for the website directory. The name will usually be the company name and shouldn't contain any unnecessary words such as "best" or "#1." If you can get a few extra keywords into your title without breaking the rules and still sounding natural, then go for it.

5. Come up with a brief description for your website. The description should be around 200 to 255 characters as outlined by the submission guidelines. This is only a few sentences so make the most of them. Choose a description that contains lots of keywords and explains your site at the same time.
