It doesn't get any easier than shopping from the comfort of your own home. Convenience doesn't always equal a good deal though, even if you're expecting a good bargain from a home shopping channel. When you're looking for those bargains on the home shopping channels you need prepare before you jump in and place your call. Here's how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Research your product. Be familiar with the average price for the item in stores or online. Know what features it has and what kind of quality you're expecting for the item. You need to know what you're shopping for in order to know if you've actually found a good bargain from a home shopping channel.

  2. Step 2

Get familiar with the shopping channel's schedule. Check into the shopping channel's website to find out what time they will be selling the type of products you're looking for so you don't waste your time or money getting distracted by other items offered.

  3. Step 3

Become familiar with the different shopping channels offered and which you want to use. Learn their schedules, get familiar with their sales people and compare their deals and return policies with those of the other shopping channels.

  4. Step 4

Shop at odd hours. It's a good way to find bargains on shopping channels. They will often have close-out sales late at night. If you can stay awake this can be a great time to get some bargains.

  5. Step 5

Stay focused on what you're looking for. Finding a good bargain is really a waste of money if you end up buying something you don't need or an item that requires you to buy additional pieces to go with it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be aware of shipping costs when looking for bargains on home shopping channels. When the cost of shipping is added in, you may have no longer found such a good bargain.
  • Keep a pen and paper handy to take notes when comparing bargains from home shopping channels.
