Black appliances should be the last of all the appliances to show dirt. Unfortunately, they're some of the first, showing dust and streaks more easily, making them harder to clean. In addition, harsh cleaners that you can use on other appliances, you can't use on black ones. Fortunately, there are some ways to clean black appliances. Read on to learn how to clean black appliances.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Purchase microfiber cloths. Microfiber cloths will clean your appliances without scratching and will help you avoid streaks common on black appliances.
Step2
Use dishwashing soap to cut grease first. You will create streaks, but don't worry about it at this point. Simply get rid of any cooking messes.
Step3
Mix baking soda and water together to create a paste to get rid of food messes on your appliances if the soap doesn't work. Baking soda is safe to use on anything and won't scratch. It can be hard to remove fully though without leaving streaks.
Step4
Choose your cleansers wisely to avoid streaks. Creating mixtures with white vinegar and water seem to work the best. Windex with vinegar, rubbing alcohol and mixtures of hydrogen peroxide and water will also help you avoid streaks.
Step5
Get some distilled water to use on your black appliances if your tap water is full of chemicals and tends to leave white streaky marks on everything.
