    Instructions

      • 1

Check the berry container for berries that were bruised or damaged en route from the farm to the store, and use these berries quickly.

      • 2

Refrigerate the berries as soon as you bring them home and do not allow them to sit in the car or in the sun. Keep your refrigerator set between 34 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit to keep berries fresh.

      • 3

Keep raspberries, blackberries and blueberries as dry as possible by storing them in a sealed container while they're in your refrigerator. Exposure to moisture will make them decay more quickly.

      • 4

Wash your berries just before you're ready to eat them, and not before. Rinse the berries gently with cool water.

      • 5

Consume strawberries within two to five days, raspberries within one to two days, blackberries within one to three days and blueberries within five to sevem days to enjoy them while they are most fresh.

      • 6

Rinse blueberries and blackberries carefully if you plan to freeze them to make jellies and jams later on. Store the berries in freezer-safe bags or containers, or allow them to freeze while laying on a tray, and then store them in bags or containers once they are frozen.

      • 7

Eat your berries quickly after purchasing them to enjoy the best taste.

    Tips & Warnings

    • For best results and taste, do not freeze raspberries or blackberries, which are both susceptible to freezer damage.

    • Refrain from removing the green and leafy cap from strawberries until you're ready to eat them so that the berry will not take on any excess water during washing.
