Step 1
Register with FIDM. If you're not already a member of the group, you can register for free on their website. The sign up form is pretty straight forward and asks for things like your name, phone, email address and the school in which you teach. Any field marked with an asterisk is required.

Step 2
Wait for acceptance. FIDM will verify your educator status at the school you've specified. This process may take a few days depending on your institution's schedule.

Step 3
Complete registration. Once your status has been verified, FIDM will send you an email with instructions on how to complete the registration process.

Check out the website. After you're registered with FIDM, you'll have full access to everything on their website including detailed information on project ideas to use in your classroom, grants you as an educator can apply for, forms to request an FIDM representative to do an on-site presentation and all of their contests.

Step 5
Learn more about the Spring Educator Makeover Contest. Read through the details about the contest to decide if it's something you'd be interested in. Some of the highlights for the contest winner include airfare to Los Angeles where you'll spend three days and two nights in one of the city's top hotels. While there, you'll attend the FIDM annual fashion extravaganza, get VIP tickets to the Debut Show, have an appointment with a leading hairstylist, get a makeup or skin care session with a top cosmetics artist and receive a complete professional outfit including accessories.
