Step 1
Start with a sock, t-shirt or leg warmer. The foundation of your dog's Easter outfit is a large sock, t-shirt or even a tubetop that can fit comfortably around your dog's body. If you have or want to buy one of these items in an Easter color such as light blue or pink, then use that one. However, you can also start with a white cloth and dye it an Easter color or just use it as a clean canvas.

Step 2
Decorate the top. There are a number of options to decorate your dog's top. You can use fabric from a fabric store to sew a pattern over the top. Just as easily, though, you can make egg shaped cloth cutouts of light blue, pink and yellow. Use different color thread to sew the cloth eggs onto the top.

Step 3
Make some booties. Every dog knows that a good Easter outfit requires some matching footwear. If your dog doesn't mind it, find some baby slippers that match the outfit's color. Slide the slippers over your dog's paws to round out the outfit. If your dog doesn't do shoes, then use toddler socks or leg warmers in four different, Easter colors and slide them over the dog's paws so they rest around its lower legs.
-
Step 4
Don't forget the Easter bonnet. Many dogs won't tolerate something on their heads, but if yours will (even just for the family photo), go all out. Use a baby's stretchy headband as a base, and add fake flowers and netting to fashion a stylish chapeau. Or turn your pooch into the Easter bunny with ears made from felt or fleece.

Step 5
Accessorize the collar. To add the finishing touch on your dog's Easter ensemble, get a nice looking collar that fits with the outfit's color scheme. Take one of the plastic eggs sold during Easter and punch a small hole through it. Then, thread some soft wire through the hole and attach it to one of the rings on your dog's color. If your dog is OK with his Easter jewelery, consider adding a few more pieces to spice it up.
