For a baseball fan, spring training is like Mecca. When spring approaches, what baseball fan wouldn't dream of traveling to a warmer location and watch their favorite team? So plan a trip to spring training, buy your tickets, grab all your baseball memorabilia and get ready to have the time of your life. Read on to learn how to plan a trip to a spring training camp.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Pick a location. Every MLB team holds their spring training in one of two states, Florida or Arizona. If you want to see a specific team, go to the MLB website to see where they play. If you don't care what time you watch, go to the MLB website and pick a random stadium to go to.
Step2
Buy tickets. Try a website like Ticko to find tickets to any spring training games you're looking for.
Step3
Find a hotel in the area. If you are unfamiliar with the area, Expedia, Orbitz or Priceline are excellent places to start looking. You can search for hotels and they will provide the cheapest prices, as well as ratings for each hotel in their system.
Step4
Book a flight. Again, Expedia, Orbitz and Priceline are all good resources for finding cheap flights.
Step5
Rent a car if you need to. If you're driving to your location, this will be unnecessary, but if you're flying you might want to consider it if the city doesn't have public transportation you can use.
Step6
Pack. If you're going specifically to watch baseball, you won't need much more than a couple of jeans, some t-shirts and maybe a jacket. Don't forget your baseball cap.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make absolutely sure that you are an avid baseball fan. Only a true fan would spend this amount of money to watch their team play in games that don't even matter.
