1
Eat a lot of meat. An obvious staple in a caveman's diet was meat. If you plan to eat like a caveman, include all sorts of meat in your meals. Fish, chicken and beef are going to be staples in your diet.
-
2
Eliminate carbs from your diet. Cavemen did not have access to the numerous high carb foods that make up most of our diet today. Plan to stop eating pastas, breads and potatoes.
-
-
3
Rely on fresh fruit and vegetables for your nutritional needs. Berries were especially enjoyed by cavemen, along with root vegetables, like turnips and carrots.
-
4
Keep nuts on hand for snacks. Most nuts can be eaten if you plan to follow a caveman diet. The only main exception is peanuts.
-
5
Take out additives like salt and sugar. Salt, sugar and butter were not used by cavemen to flavor their food. Instead use natural seasonings to flavor your meats.
