St. Patrick's Day parades give you an opportunity to show your Irish heritage. Traditionally, people celebrate by wearing green attire or clothes with some green in them. The atmosphere of a St. Patrick's Day parade is a the perfect time to have fun with your look. Follow these steps to dress for a St. Patrick's Day parade.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Go green. It's St. Patty's Day, after all.
Step2
Shop at a novelty or party supply store. They carry all kinds of St. Patrick's Day decorations for your home and your body.
Step3
Wear a green shirt and pants. Add some green to your hair, in the form of a barrette, clip, hat or temporary hair color spray. It's your chance to go over the top.
Step4
Dress warmly if you live in a part of the country that gets cold in March. To avoid covering up all that green you're wearing, buy a green coat, gloves and scarf.
Step5
Show your Irish heritage by wearing a T-shirt with a saying on it. They come with sayings like "FBI--Full Blooded Irish," "Kiss Me, I'm Irish," "Designated Irish Drink," and "Irish Drunk."
Step6
Make your face an Irish work of art. Use face paint to draw shamrocks on your cheeks.
Step7
Choose comfortable shoes. Even if you're watching the parade rather than walking in it, you'll be on your feet for a good portion of the day. You'll regret wearing insensible shoes.
